When choosing a drink, it usually took Amelia time to decide if she wanted something warm or cold. Deciding to go with a cold root beer right away was a little warning flag that something was up, but she was trying to not show it off. Like stores did when they really wanted to try and sell stuff to the potential buyer.
She took her sweet little time with drinking her favorite soda in the whole world through a tiny straw that could be used as a weapon, if the person knew how to wield it. Surprisingly, Amelia wasn’t thinking about weapons that could be used during a zombie outbreak, like she normally did when out on the town. She was trying to decide how to tell Gio what has been going on, and how to explain what she was capable of doing. Over and over again, Amelia told herself she was crazy and she should make something up. Which was easy for her to do but she didn’t want to lie to someone that was dear to her.
Gio’s voice broke her thoughts right in the middle, causing her to blink her eyes up toward him as she straightened herself. Realizing then that she was chewing on her straw while taking sips from it. Nervous much? What Gio said did make one of her drawn on eyebrows arch. But she easily turned what he said into a silly-Amelia-kind-of-way, “Maybe we’re entering another Ice Age. Would be nifty.”
Amelia leaned in for another drink and here came their food. And this is why she loved this place. They were fast with their services. It could almost be titled a fast food! But fast food joints usually go down the toilet with all the different kinds of food they decide to bring out.
“I don’t even know where to start…” She said while grabbing her chopsticks and ripping them apart before positioning them within her right hand. Hopefully Gio wasn’t upset or annoyed that she wasn’t looking at him as she was speaking. “You’d think I would love everything weird, but when it becomes reality… You’re completely dumbfounded.”
