In Eisen’s mind, healing Rory was a present for him. Generally, he wasn’t happy unless the ones he cared about were happy. For the most part, Rory seemed happy enough although Eisen knew that it was mostly a façade. But this would make him happy. Truly happy. Possibly happier than anything else Eisen could do for him. It had been something he’d wanted to do for ages, but until he found out about Lexie’s ability there had been no way. “Sounds good. The live version is always better than the recorded version anyway… mostly because you get to watch the artist sing it,” his tone was soft, and his smile was genuine. He loved watching her sing. She was beautiful anyway, but when she was so calm while she sang? She was just that much more.
“Lex, you’ve been my muse for ages now,” he said quietly. Since the middle of high school, at least in part. “But yeah, I can confidently say that you’re my muse,” he gave her a pursed-lipped smile. Okay, so maybe it was Eisen, for the most part, who had been not-so-good at secret keeping. Especially when it came to Lexie. Perhaps the only one who he was worse at keeping secrets from was Rory, but Lexie was a very close second. He’d only ever managed to keep one secret from her, conveniently the same secret she’d kept from him. He made a soft noise when she kissed him, smiling when she pulled back and then chuckling in agreement. “Okay, so apparently we’re only good at keeping secrets when it’s better to tell them.”
