Eisen felt… very strange dressed like this, but for a date, it was standard Eisen protocol to dress nicely. His date outfit wasn’t exactly too fancy, but it was nicer than his usual jeans-and-a-t-shirt getup. His hair was even combed back… actually kept up well, which was something Eisen generally didn’t do. He looked at himself in the mirror and huffed out a sigh at his appearance. He supposed it was okay. Lexie had told him to meet her at the front steps of his apartment building in about five minutes, so it had to be okay for now. Tossing on his peacoat and throwing a scarf around his neck, he closed and locked his apartment behind him, bounding down the stairs and walking outside into the bitter January chill.
Really, his birthday wasn’t anything too special, but Lexie had insisted that they do something nice. He’d explained that they could just go see a movie or something, since her present to him was trying to heal Rory and that was more than enough for him, but being Lexie, she hadn’t accepted ‘well enough’ and had gone out of her way. Eisen preferred small celebrations, but whatever Lexie did, he was sure that he’d love it.
Sitting on the bench in front of his place, he waited for her to show, hoping that it wouldn’t be too long… partially because he wanted to see her and partially because he was freezing cold, but also partially because he couldn’t wait to see what she had in store. Lexie was creative when it came to things like this, and Eisen had absolutely no doubt in his mind that this would be no exception to that. His face felt a little colder than usual without the shroud of possibly-too-long hair covering it, but he ignored it for now, the excitement in his chest making it a little easier.
