As incredibly far-fetched as it might have sounded, Ori really had seen lightning. That wasn't something to lie about, unless you were really telling tall tales. Which she wasn't. She stuck her hands in her pockets for lack of anything to do with them, and to keep herself from fidgeting as she thought about it all. At least her brother believed that she wasn't lying. She knew that some people would have thought that she was lying. Or that she was just plain crazy.
He was suggesting that they look something up. To see if January lightning wasn't so terribly uncommon. At least that way she'd feel a little bit better. And that was better than nothing. Ori nodded. "Okay, that works." She watched her brother as he worked. "Is there anything I can do to help with the soup?"
