She hadn't thought to call to say that she might be a little late because of missing the bus and having to walk home through all the snow. And walking home after her freak encounter with nature, it was about the furthest thing from her mind. Even if she was very much freaked out, Ori was hoping that Gideon wasn't getting worried about her or anything. She knew how he got with those sort of things. Though...hearing that his baby sister A) was crazy or B) had actually been borderline struck by lightning probably wasn't going to help that any. At all.
Once she was inside, though, it was a least a little bit easier to calm down. Sort of. She was still entirely panicked, but anyone in her situation would have been. Unless getting struck by lightning was a regular thing for them. Oriana heard someone coming out of the kitchen, more than sure that it was her brother. And there he was, standing there in the doorway. He was tapping the doorframe, and she instantly felt bad that she'd given him a reason to even if it was just the two of them.
"Uh..." she didn't really know how to phrase things in a way that wouldn't give any sibling a heart attack. Was there a way? "Well...something really weird happened to me on the way home from school. Like, really weird in the way that it was something that shouldn't even happen ever, as far as I know." Normally she was good with words, but it was kind of hard to get everything in order when she was still freaked out.
