Amelia had to keep her excitement held at bay when she noticed her only spot to sit was right between the boys. Maybe her imagination really could make her wishes come true. If only it could make the dog disappear in a puff of air, then life would be so freaking grand! But if her imagination became like Jake’s in Adventure Time… a lot would probably go wrong. So keeping her gears working at a minimal speed things might not cause craziness.
She plopped herself down between them, bringing her legs up and wrapping her arms around her legs to draw them close to her. A little excitement was showing, but that was her usual show of emotions. Until something or someone makes her snap, then the room floods with her tears.
“Oh, well, we could see what’s on the science channel. We already know what I would like to watch.” One hand moved to rest against her chest as she looked to Gio and then Ed with small laughter to get them both laughing. It works, sometimes. The remote was taken, since she didn’t see Gio reaching over her to take it. She didn't mind sitting through whatever would be on the channel. Learning something new was fascinating, but she would forget about it in a day or two.
Now… what channel was the science channel on?
Amelia stared at the remote, like it was a foreign object before looking away from it and quickly turning it to the sci-fi channel. Hopefully there was some kind of movie on or television series that they all might like to watch - quick thinking lead to stupid decisions. But maybe this time it was a good one. “I know this isn’t science,” she said then after her quick move to change the channel. The remote was put off to the side, mostly toward Gio’s side of the couch, if he wanted to change it to something else.
“So, Ed, how is college? I’m curious about it.” Amelia really wasn’t. Well, she was, but she would be more interested in it when it was that time to sign up for it. She wanted to get a little chit chat session in with him, because she liked the sound of his voice when she could hear it. Ignoring Gio was never on her agenda tonight, and it certainly won’t be the rest of the night. These were rare times where she got to spend time with Ed, since doing it without Gio would be just weird. She wouldn’t know what to say; what to do. She is already having a hard time being her wacky self.
