Gio's amusement morphed into understanding when Amelia admitted she was supposed to be under house arrest. It wasn't as if Gio hadn't ever snuck out before (he had, successfully one might add), but never when he was in trouble with his parents. He wondered idly if that was what Amelia was implying by saying she was supposed to be in her room, but he didn't really worry about it. She could hide out at their place for a while before responsibility kicked in and Gio told her to go home before she got in trouble (or more trouble – whatever the case may be).
The smile was back at Ed's comment about them all being alive, although Rory was technically alive so maybe being alive wasn't enough to be sure they were okay. Even so, Amelia seemed less than concerned about it, which Gio figured she would be.
"We could watch TV down here," Gio said, with the quickest glance ever in Ed's direction. Why was he annoyed with Ed instead of Amelia that she wanted to hang out with him included? Because Ed was his brother, that was why. That automatically made him deserve it. "What're you watching, Ed?" Gio made his way over to the couch.
