Gio laughed at Ed calling Nico an alien, though by the time he was turning his attention back to Amelia he was rolling his eyes. "Aliens, right," he said, "I'm almost positive you'd enjoy aliens probing you. What's the real reason you're here?" The question was rhetorical, however.
"We have to warn you that Rory has the plague, so if you wake up with a cold tomorrow you probably picked it up here." It was a disclaimer they'd been giving everyone who stepped through the door, even though so far the other Spinellis had been safe. Rory had been expertly containing his germs in a way Gio was sure he wouldn't have been able to. Knowing himself, he would have wiped his nose on his shirt sleeve at some point and totally forgotten, and then the germs would have wreaked their havoc upon everything freely.
"Did you wanna go upstairs?" He'd only been doing homework that wasn't due the next day, so it wasn't urgent he finished it.
