It was plenty warm inside, thankfully. His parents had never had a problem with keeping the heat up to a suitable level during the wintertime. And that was good for everybody. He knew that Gio would be coming downstairs, figuring that both he and Amelia would be going back up eventually. Gio didn't normally like Ed being around his friends that were girls, because apparently, he was distracting. He, of course, didn't really see it. Never had, actually. But maybe he was just missing something.
"Yeah, it is pretty cold. Makes you thankful for the heat." Amelia was taking her jacket off then, just as Gio did come downstairs. She was talking about aliens and probing and it made him chuckle some as he reached out. "Here, let me take your jacket." He took the jacket from her gently, not really noticing the way his hand brushed hers in the process. Then he went over to hang it up in the closet by the door.
"You won't have to worry about aliens here. Unless you count Nico, but he's shut up in his room anyway."
