Glory nodded in agreement. "My friend was upset about his, too. I sort of... had to confirm that what was happening to him was really happening." Glory shuddered a little at the memory. "But at least he's not alone. I guess... if anything, we're the odd ones. At least if you know about as many people as I'm assuming you do." She looked up at the sky and let out a long, plaintive sigh. What was happening to them? To the island? What in the world was going on? Glory wanted to know so badly that it almost hurt.
Settling in on the blanket, Glory looked out over the ocean for a few seconds before her eyes rested on Gio. She smiled, liking the way the moonlight reflected off his glasses. He was so adorable. "Yeah. And that's a good sign for the fireworks." Glory squinted over at the display way at the other end of the beach. She wished she could go down there and check out the rockets, but obviously that would've been rude. Plus, they probably wouldn't have let someone Glory's age back there anyway. "I didn't used to like them, actually. I just thought they were a bunch of nonce. But now I think they're kind of pretty." That and she liked thinking about how they were made.
