Glory couldn't help but be a little puzzled when Gio suddenly rushed out of the room to get her a scarf, then suddenly gave her his instead of the the one he'd left the room to get. Huh. Glory, whose eyes had long since been trained to find and neutralize stains before her mother could find them, had noticed the stain but she wouldn't have minded it. Either way, it was sweet that he was offering her his. "Thanks," she said gratefully as she accepted the scarf and threaded it snugly around her neck. "That was really nice of you."
Glory was quiet for the first few minutes of the walk to the beach, admiring the clear stars. At length, she decided to ask the question that had been plaguing her for quite a while. "Gio? I have a question. It's going to sound really... weird so don't think I'm a complete nutcase okay?" She took a deep breath. "Have you... noticed anything weird going on around the island?"
