Eisen frowned when Rory refuted him. He expected no less from his friend, of course. He was so deep in his self-loathing that he refused to see that who he was beyond the chair was worthy of attention from girls. Smoothing a hand through his hair, he sighed a little and shook his head.
“Listen,” he stood up and grabbed a chair from the dining room table, sitting in front of Rory in his chair. “You are capable of so many more things than you give yourself credit for, dude. You do so much to make all of us believe that your handicap isn’t what makes you. Well, you proved it to me, Rory. You deserve to be happy just as much as the rest of us do, and I’m not just going to sit idly by and let you be miserable, just because you don’t think you’re good enough.
