"Every day I thank whatever benevolent force rules the universe that I don't have to suffer that particular curse. I think if I had to live my life without chocolate ice cream I would just wither away to nothing. Although I suppose if I had it from birth I wouldn't necessarily know what I was missing."
"Well I'm glad you had such a good New Year's," Rory told him sincerely. "Maybe you should invite her to movie night or something sometime." Coming from Rory, this comment was the equivalent of burying the hatchet forever. Rory had never once extended such an invitation to Cait, arguing that bad movie night was a best friends thing (granted, part of this was that he just didn't like Cait too much, but still), so the mere suggestion of allowing Eisen to bring his girlfriend along was powerful.
"I'm always thinking about bad things," Rory said. "Climate change. Starvation in Africa. The US's declining status as a major world power. There's negative energy everywhere."
