“Man, I can’t imagine what it must be like to be lactose intolerant,” he pointed out, shaking his head and devouring a bit of goopy cheese as it threatened to spill off of his fork. He was fortunate not to have any food allergies, so he didn’t know what he’d do.
“We did,” Eisen chuckled softly and scratched the top of his head awkwardly. “We made silly jokes and did all the things we usually do when we’re together and it was just…really nice.” Like it always was, but different because they could kiss whenever they wanted to. The best kind of different possible, as far as he and Lexie were concerned. “It was, but I’m glad I waited,” he said softly. If he hadn’t, he and Rory probably wouldn’t have forgiven one another so easily.
When Rory explained his festivities, or lack thereof, Eisen looked at him, expression not changing. Of course, he was concerned, but that went without saying. There was something Rory wasn’t telling him…something important. And it was bugging him a little bit. “What’s up? You have that ‘Rory having negative thoughts’ look. So, spill.”
