Honestly, Rory wasn’t trying to sell out Fiona at all, although in retrospect it did kind of seem like that’s what he was doing. Still, he didn’t think Eisen would be mad, especially about something as petty. Apparently, being petty was now officially Rory’s job. Of course, the up side of knowing someone so well was that, just as Eisen could generally tell when Rory was lying, Rory had the same ability. “Just a little bit hurt, huh? Because, and I hate to rely on hearsay here, but it’s all I’ve got, Fiona said you were pretty upset.” He rolled a little closer to his friend. “And you’re right. I was mad. But I didn’t mean it, Eisen. I was trying to redirect my anger onto Romeo and I guess it didn’t work as well as I’d hoped.”
The redhead shifted uncomfortably in his eternal chair as Eisen pressed on him a little more. “It was just... a weird holiday season I guess. I don’t like arguing. You know that. There’s just...” Rory rubbed a hand over his face, starting with his forehead. “Too much drama.”
