"Oh yeah," Calvin responded to Ben, then winced as Charlie brought up the memory. "A bruise is not the same thing as a badge, Charlie," he said matter-of-factly. "And it faded in two days anyway! And there went my authority." He looked at her pointedly. "And don't you dare suggest doing it again! I'm not six anymore."
Calvin might've laughed at Charlie's joke if the idea of Ben sleeping naked in Charlie's top bunk hadn't made his stomach turn a little. "Yeah, I'll get something. I have extra pajamas you can wear," he said to Ben. Full pajamas. With pants and a shirt and everything.
Calvin accepted the bottle and looked at it critically, then looked up at his sister. He wasn't going to say a word about life choices, but... "We've never been to Cancun," he pointed out. "Unless we were there when I was too little to remember it." Although why their parents would take them on any sort of trip was beyond Calvin. Glancing over at Ben, he inclined his head and gave him a clear "I'll-do-this-if-you-will" expression and took a tiny sip before handing it over.
