Who: Everyone involved in the talent show
Where: the high school auditorium
When: tonight (Monday)
What: talent show narratives
Rated: try to keep it PG-13
The auditorium was packed. Macy was glad. Nearly everyone had come out to support the cause. Of course, her cause was long overdue, but she was sure Haiti would appreciate it all the same. She had already needed to get a second box to put all the canned goods in, and the cupcakes and cookies were selling fast. She'd baked a lot of them with the help of Laura Pace, and people were loving them. It was good to see.
She could also hear people admiring the set on the stage. Macy and Noah had worked on it, and it ended up coming out quite nice. The faux jungle scene was really connecting with the audience.
Patting one of the volunteers on the back, she called for the lights in the auditorium to go down. Everyone talking hushed and as the spotlight came on, Macy walked to the center of the stage.
"First, I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped make this night a possibility. All the businesses that donated to our prize was a giant help and everyone who brought canned goods is very appreciated. As you already know, the money raised tonight will be donated to help those who suffered great losses in Haiti. Everyone performing is extremely talented, which will make it very hard to pick a winner. The town council has agreed to be an objective judging panel and at the end of the night, the winner will win a trophy and gift certificates to numerous places around town." Macy cleared her throat and glanced down at a piece of paper.
"First up tonight, is Ethan Walker." Macy started clapping, followed by the audience, before she gracefully stepped off the stage.
