Josie smiled and shut her eyes as he wiped the tears from her eyes. His hands were nice and warm and his comment was sweet, "Okay, but don't blame me if you get teased about going out with a bag lady." She nodded, "Well I do care, but I can fake it. I feel much better now that I've talked it out. I get why he's mad and I'm sort of proud of him for standing up to me. Although I wish he had been a bit more gentle about it, but I probably wouldn't have listened to him otherwise."
She giggled at his trailblazing pose and comment as he pulled her to her feet. Josie could easily outrun him she knew, but she'd let Luke drag her for the moment. Ice cream would help her feel almost completely better...well until she spoke to Jacen. Luke was such a great guy, she didn't know what she did to have someone like him as a friend. Not that she was getting attached or wanting more out of this arrangement...no...of course not. But she was happy that he'd be there for her even if there was no promise of him getting between her thighs that night. She smiled and let him lead her to Twisty's and let all her worries melt away.
