[Just pick whatever's her favorite chocolate I guess?]
Luke was a little late getting to Josie's house. He'd instinctively driven to the grocery store first to pick up some chocolate for her - the good kind; not just a bunch of mini Hershey bars he'd grabbed from the family candy bowl. Somehow, this seemed important enough to warrant a trip to the store. He just hoped Josie didn't read too much into it. It was bad enough that she was apparently "freaking out" that he'd given her chocolate before, but now she was having dreams about their future children? Ugh. Girls. Hopefully it was just a hormonal thing.
Luke stayed in the car for a few seconds, collecting his thoughts before he finally knocked on the Allen's door and was subsequently ushered inside. Some primal part of his gut told him that he was making the wrong move, sending the wrong signal, by coming over tonight (especially when it was already established that he wasn't even going to get sex out of it), but the truth was the Luke actually cared about Josie. God knew the girl had flaws, but that didn't mean that Luke particularly liked seeing her sad. Given that he was an only child, he didn't quite understand the dynamic that she had with Jacen, but that didn't mean that Luke didn't know about fighting. Oh yeah. He definitely knew a thing or two about fighting.
Luke knocked softly on Josie's bedroom door before easing it open. "Hey," he began quietly, slipping into the room and closing the door behind him. Shit. What did he say now? "I brought you chocolate," he began. Maybe that would start things off well enough. Approaching her, he sat down on her bed and offered her the box.
