Jacob was putting away the equipment they'd used in class today when Lexie poked her head in. He had just pushed the box of beakers back into it's place in the cupboard and looked up. His smile faltered when he saw how forced her own was. "Hey there LexieSunshine. All done. Where are we headed?" He grabbed his things and walked out, locking the door behind him.
He tried not to think about his text conversation with Emma, what those boys were saying about Lexie. Though secretly, Jacob agreed. Lexie was too good for David Bacchus. He wouldn't say that though, because it would hurt her to hear it.
