Annie had been feeling a little off for the past week. Really the one distraction from her replaying Monday night in her head was Penny and their singer-songwriter meeting. She almost wanted someone to talk to, but that would involve being able to tell them how she had successfully managed to trick Jacen Allen into thinking she was Lexie. She hadn't been using any of her abilities since partly out of guilt which had also led to the first sign of a pimple she had shown in the last two years. She had been trying to spend time with Alfie when he was playing video games, just sitting around and reading one of her books while occasionally peeking up to watch the action on the screen. She probably would have tried a little harder at trying to get him to reconcile with Lexie if she wasn't a little peeved at her sister herself for not realizing until the damage was done that boys tended to fall over themselves for her. She had spent all of three seconds wondering if she was always going to have to settle for guys who would rather get into Lexie's lacy lingerie. That was just a little too depressing to even think of at the moment.
She had immediately jumped up after dinner though and started to clear the dishes and offered to just clean it all. Maybe it was a matter of upping her amount of good karma before she was going to feel the least bit better. If cleaning was one way towards that she might have Alfie's room spotless before another week had gone by as well as every other corner, nook, and cranny in the house. She got the hot water going and watched the sink fill with soapy water and singing softly to herself. She half-glanced toward the dining room "Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see that I want and I'm needing everything that we should be. I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about, and she's got everything that I have to live without."
