Penny nodded in agreement. Of course, they had to be careful. They were treading dangerous waters with this one. Everything had to be confidential. "Understood. So, that means, no mentioning anything important in the journals or text messages or emails. Anything digital can be traced. If possible, password protect all sensitive documents you save to your computer or write up. In fact, I would try to avoid keeping written documents on the computer all together. Pen and paper usually works fine." It was old school, but it was the way it had to be done in these technologically advanced times. "Keep it with you all the time too."
She wrote some more notes in her notebook, ideas, people she had considered tracking down for years but never really had a motive to other than thinking they were weird. "Leave the sampling on the computer to me. I'll get back to you when I find something." She seemed almost too confident that she would actually find something in those files. With another nod, she said, "Just be careful, all right? If you die, I'm going to kill you, got it?" And for a second, she broke off from her professional mode to let out a teeny tiny smirk.
