Tyler liked the early hours at the beach. The cool Maine air bit at her arms, legs, and face. After sunrise, she put on her sweatshirt that she kept in her bag, along with sunscreen and her iPod. There was no Baywatch uniform, nor were there any regulations her attire had to follow. She wore her special black and green swim suit that she used for swim meets and a pair of boardshorts.
She sighed and re-adjusted herself in the lifeguard's chair that was high above the beach. Tyler was tired, which was unusual for her. No one was at the beach, and she knew that no one was going to come for some time, if at all. Knowing this, she let her body sink lower into the chair, her legs dangling off the platform.
