Sebastian just nodded and left it at that. There was no reason to drag him through that part of the past and potentially end up being banished from the house even if he was about to leave. He didn't need to be making enemies with someone who was almost handing him the story of a lifetime if he could just tug on the right strings and follow them back.
He just reached for his recorder before he saw the glass falling and almost dumbly tried to catch it and could have almost sworn he was making it hover for all of a second before continuing to fall to the floor. Bast wasn't entirely sure what had just happened and stepped back again the next second to get away from any glass that might break and scatter. Maybe it was just some weird adrenaline thing where time had almost stopped or at least seemed to be going slower? For now he was just glad when it landed with a loud sound, but didn't shatter all over the place and sighed with relief. "I can take that back to the kitchen for you first though?"
