Who: Glory and Alfie Where: The football field behind the school When: Backdated to May 30 What: Launching a science project! Rating: PG probably
Although she would have preferred Saturday for the launch, Glory had had to postpone to Sunday since the weather hadn't been good. Fortunately, Sunday couldn't have been more pleasant - sunny with a very slight breeze, and clear skies. Glory had brought all of her supplies with her: notebooks, pencils, the little launch pad she'd constructed, and, of course, the infamous Butt Buster itself. She couldn't help but roll her eyes as she set the rocket carefully on the pad. It was her own fault, really. Of course Alfie would pick a name like that. It didn't even make any sense. But whatever. Glory had felt bad for taking all the fun away from him. She hadn't really meant for the project to consist mostly of her rattling off complicated instructions, eventually taking over so she could do it herself. He seemed to enjoy painting the thing, though. That was something.
Once everything was set up and in place, Glory checked and rechecked everything before leaning against a tree to wait for Alfie. After a minute or so, she unconsciously began her stretching routine, smiling a little as her muscles tensed and relaxed under their normal regimen. Glory's body could always tell when she skipped or skimped on her daily stretches, so whenever she had a few minutes to spare, that's what she'd do. The problem, of course, was that Alfie could easily approach while she was in a slightly awkward position, like the single leg stretch position she was in now.
