who: Cooper & Tom!
what: Cooper's blowing off some steam by singing along to power ballads of the 80s and 90s.
when: Tuesday, evening
where: Outside...away from people...and embarrassment
One thing that his mother hadn't been able to hide in her library were the ancient CDs of rock and roll. As a kid, Cooper had actually saved up money from his allowance to purchase an out-dated boombox. There was a tape deck in front, but he actually had used it to hold his change as a child. What he wanted was the CD player on the top. He had spent hours painstakingly cleaning it, even going as far to get out toothpicks and Qtips to get in every little crevice to get all the dust out. He didn't know when he'd use it, but it was an archaeological find that he didn't want to pass up.
Now, after being attacked by furniture and a girl that really didn't seem all that sorry she had attacked him (along with others), Coop was putting it to use. With a defunct microphone he'd found in one of the music classes, Cooper had headed outside, boombox in hand. He had a bottle of water and a pair of sunglasses. If he was going to rock out, he was going to do it right. Getting away from the general public areas, Cooper took a look at the sky, seeing just how ominous they were. Okay, maybe he wouldn't be rocking out for long, but he was too committed to the adventure than to just throw in the towel. Setting the CD in there and closing the lid, Cooper hit play, listening to the whir of the disc. He heard the beat, tapping his foot against the ground, raising the microphone up to his mouth.
"SHOUT! SHOUT! LET IT ALL OUT! THESE ARE THE THINGS I CAN DO WITHOUT!"
