Jenn's Characters
I absolutely hate writing intro posts. So much so, that this game went almost 7 months without me saying a damn thing in the OOC journal. But anyway, enough about me (Jenn), this is a post to recap my characters. Comments and questions are welcome!
Corinne Bradley
Ravenclaw 1996 • Hitwitch • Sexy Librarian
Rank: Blue • Journal: seabee • Looks Like: Olivia Munn Meet Cori. Cori is a workaholic. Sort of. She's motivated by vengeance. Sort of. And she doesn't let her emotions get the better of her. Most of the time. Cori had plans to be an Auror before she was arrested for ~stealing magic~. But after her release from Azkaban, she switched her focus for the shorter training period. She's got a history of being hard to work with- set in her ways, prone to jumping into action with only half a plan, or ignoring her partner altogether. But she's good at her job, her instincts are sound, and she tries harder to compromise when she feels her contributions are acknowledged.
When Cori isn't working, she likes to gamble. She runs the DMLE Fantasy Quidditch League, and participates in one of the few active poker groups that isn't tied to The VIP Lounge. She lives primarily on a diet of sodium and alcohol, which she works off with a rigorous physical training schedule. She is an active patron of the boutiques that have opened in Knockturn Alley since the war (and she also lives there). More recently, Corrine ended her relationship with Kenneth Towler after he proposed to her in May. As such, she's extra salty these days, and even less fun to be around than normal. |
Marcus Flint
Slytherin 1994 • Unemployed • Old Guy
Rank: Red • Journal: marcflint • Looks Like: MRJ This is Marcus. He is a jack-of-all-trades type who is not ambitious in the traditional sense. He doesn't care about being rich (although he kind of is), and he doesn't care about making a name for himself in some career. Instead, he's spent most of his adult life traveling the world, working temporary jobs in the places he visited, and smuggling back stuff to The VIP Lounge whenever he planned to return to the UK (which was 3-4 times a year prior to the DWP Act).
You can count on Marc to be self-motivated. He tends to make decisions based on how a situation will potentially affect him, rather than what his choices might do to other people. That being said, he values loyalty and does his best to return the favor when possible (see fellow Old Guys). He used to ~live~ with Teresa Spinks when in the country, but now that he's stuck in the UK he's taken up residence in the run-down bar (The Broom Shed) that he owns in Basiq Alley. Fair warning: he's easily offended, especially when it comes to comments on his intelligence. He's really good at causing misunderstandings. |
Oliver Wood
Gryffindor 1994 • Wisite Owner/Wand Maker • Gryffindork
Rank: Green • Journal: noll • Looks Like: Jason Momoa This is Oliver, but you can call him Noll (in my head it rhymes with bowl, even though it should probably rhyme with all). Noll is a loud, large, hairy, and hard to miss. He had a very short lived Quidditch Career, and even wrote about Quidditch for the Prophet before his firing in 2004. Now he hosts an independent news wisite, and makes temporary-use (illegal) wands. His daughter, Juniper, is a 13 and just finished her second year as a Gryffindor (she makes her daddy so proud).
Noll has never met a stranger. He's pretty comfortable talking to anyone about anything. He spends a lot of time working with his hands- whether it is on his wands, on his (adoptive) parent's farm, or on a big meal for his collection of family and friends. Because he works from home he doesn't venture out as often as he likes these days, but he tries to be socially active through the various tech options. His mockery is mostly good-natured; he just loves a good argument. |
