Guilt by Association Authors' Community

Hi ladies,

In the recent weeks, I think we've all seen the decrease in activity. Six months (which we are just getting to in-game) is about the average length of time a game runs, and we feel, rather than having the game peter out into nothingness, that setting an end-date would eliminate a lot of the uncertainty in that regard.

We've decided that the last day of the official game will be August 31, 2010 for that reason, though the community itself will remain open past that. It should give everyone plenty of time to wrap up their storylines and get their characters into a good place. There won't be a big end - no comets to destroy or manticores to cause havoc - but rather a fade to black.

We've had a great run and really enjoyed playing with you! Thanks for playing with us!

Saturday the 3rd my husband's vacation week is starting. We have planned to visit my sister from Saturday through Wednesday (though she might try to keep her longer). I am unfortunately going to be absent from the community for sure from Saturday to Thursday and I'll be sporadically there for the rest of the week.

Until then, I'll try to wrap up what I had planned to be played before I leave though my tagging might be slower due to cleaning and packing.

It's Hannah again, with another baby-- Mandy Brocklehurst, whose profile you can check out here. She's a Ravenclaw Halfblood who works in the Wizengamot offices as a sort of law clerk-cum-gopher. Officially she's a research assistant, so she gets paid to look through dusty old books for obscure bits of relevant information. Or something like that.

She's very pragmatic-- the one who can always be counted on to keep a level head in scary or stressful situations. However, she would like to insist that she is perfectly capable of being silly and fun as well! You can read more about her on her profile-- I was sort of long-winded and don't want to be too long winded here. :P

OH. And she's Adrian's cousin. :D

Okay, Just so everyone who has seen the news stop worrying. I am fine and so is everyone around here. Yes, there was an earthquake but I didn't feel anything (really, I live just far enough for that). I had no idea we'd had one until last night when Mom told me.

So the reason I wasn't there yesterday, was because of Quebec's National Day fireworks (today being National Day).

It's me again!

I am posting this a bit early. I am just making sure I don't forget. Tomorrow my parents and girlfriend come to pick me up from Lithuania, but we will not leave until at least Saturday, so i should be able to post tomorrow and maybe on Saturday, depending on whether we go on Saturday or Sunday. Depending on that I might be back on Sunday or Monday and...well I got no idea how it'll turn out. But I am really very happy and I look forward to coming back and offering you better RP from Germany! ^-^

So, Matthew and Neville's party post is.. posted so feel free to have your character arrive either by Apparition or Floo. It's quite a magical neighborhood though the cottag is surrounded by fields of wild flowers. It's a secluded little cottage with a decent sized backyard. Neville has planted pretty much whatever needed to be planted already so feel free to have them amazed at it. Matt claims he has nothing to do with the flowersbeds.

There is a long table set outside with drinks both alcoholic and not, snacks of all kinds and Mrs Stebbins made some potatoe salad too. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be made by Matt (Neville is NOT coming anywhere near his baby) and the seasonings are also on the table.

Fell free to have anyone who would be friends with either boys over and Matthew says: HAVE FUN!!!

Parvati is out for a drink at the Strange Brew if anyone wants to run into her. :D

I hope this is okay, but I am really ecited and can't help it. At the moment I'm stuck in a country that barely shows any interest if football, Lithuanians are all into basketball instead ><

Threads wot I have enjoyed lately:

Seamus & Parvati beautifully illustrated the frustrations of trying to keep friendships going past school. It was touching and sweet all at once.

As a Ron & Hermione shipper, I always enjoy their interactions. And Hermione talking about her parents was lovely, and sad.

And everything else really, but these two were just very touching in their own ways. What about you all! What are you enjoying lately? :)
