Things have been quite crazy since the raid. The police have stepped up and have been more noticeably active throughout Mutant Town. This evidently complicated things for Calvin, being he had assaulted more than a dozen or officers and sentinels while making his escape with Mary. They got a good look at him. They knew his eye color, hair color, build and all that groovy stuff. He was basically a walking target and of course, there probably was someone who got snagged that night that gave some information to work out a deal. Being the right hand man to Jason Wyngarde meant some of that information could've been about his address or anything of the sort.
This forced him to take some action by way of dying his hair and creating an identity to use while everything cooled down, however, it would only be a matter of time before he did end up getting caught. Thankfully, that wouldn't happen today and instead he was getting someone else out of jail. Shaw had tasked him to get Jason out of jail and he would've done so sooner, but a gunshot wound to his thigh prevented such. Those six days following the raid were absolute hell. Regardless of the fact that he escaped due to a pure adrenaline rush, Mr. Rankin was not invincible. It was unfortunate for him to realize he still felt pain and bled as much as the next guy and had to take time to lick his wounds.
Calvin's frustration grew and he simply couldn't take the idea of resting anymore. He got himself up and made his way into the precinct under the guise of his 'new' identity. Even though he was walking with a limp in his step, Calvin didn't complain once and expressed his pain through his features. Sure enough he would find that the bandage wrapped around his leg was soaked in blood. After tapping a few knuckles onto the thin glass separating him from the clerk, he finally got her attention "Hello ma'm, I'm here to post bail for a dear friend of mine...." His voice trailed off as he reached into his pocket and retrieved a folded piece of paper with all of Jason's information attached to an envelope. He slid it into the little trough that was built into the counter. "Thank you for your assistance." Calvin said as he turned away and took a seat. Calvin didn't care how long it took for them to get all of his things in order and get him out. His leg was killing him, hopefully Jason could give him something for the pain a little later on.
