For the Capitol, Reaping Day is the start of the biggest celebration of the year. It's like all awards shows wrapped into one, with Caesar Flickerman hosting from the Capitol, and Escorts hosting from the districts much like fashion correspondents on red carpets or reporters in the field. Their target audience is the Capitol, but are mindful that this begins the mandatory viewing for all District Residents as well. Gamemakers serve as producers, carefully timing every event down to the minute (though shows always run over the planned 3.5 hours). Caesar opens the show with a brief History of the Hunger Games, often centering on favorite Victors or Games, rather than the short film about Capitol domination played on giant screens at the Reapings. Each district has 10 minutes to give a glimpse of their current Victors, and reap and present their tributes (escorts have an earpiece with Gamemakers giving them minute marks to make sure they stick to the schedule; more or less and you'll be getting yelled at to wrap up, or to stretch for time). Between districts is more banter and commercial breaks. The main sponsors of this year's Games are Splish Splash (beach resort), Fieratti (luxury cars), Green Glen Jewelers, and Romicast (the Capitol's main ISP).
