Characters: James Potter, Remus Lupin, & open
Setting: Partially populated Gryffindor Common Room, 6. October (Th), mid-to-late evening
Content: PG; TBD
It was the middle of the week in the Gryffindor Common Room (technically in most other places too, but shut up) - and it was apparent. Students had holed themselves away in the Library, swamped with essays and readings. This was lucky. Remus was one of few Gryffindors still sitting around in the Common Room. He had no idea where his mates were, but that wasn't so strange. Sirius was nearly always bathing in bubbles and salts. James was becoming very Head Boy-ly and ...performing duties (& journaling), perhaps. And Peter. Well, who knew. So, the Seventh Year found himself writing back and forth with James, procrastinating on beginning his Potions essays.
The fire was warm, filling the small room. It was only October, but in Scotland that meant it was cold. Remus had already broken out some dark chocolate from his winter stash and was breaking off bits of it as he swung his legs by the hearth.
He supposed it was probably time to inform James of a few of the things he (Remus) had discussed with Lily, since things appeared to be progressing between them at a never-before-seen rate. Yes, things were definitely changing. For the better or worse - no one yet knew. - The boy himself felt a tad left in the dust. Sirius had, of course, already had ...mates over to spend the evenings with him. James was finally getting close to Lily without his face being ripped off. And that made for some lonely times. But! He was robust. He would... grin, bear it, and continue on toward the dim future of After Seventh Year.
