Madeleine couldn't help but be glad that the drive was not lengthy. She wanted to get out of the car and settled in. Once the first real contact was made, the restlessness was that much more pronounced than it had been at dinner. She allowed herself to be led into the apartment, chuckling a bit at his remark of her perfume. Oh, now she was very impressed. A man who could appreciate perfume was so rare these days. Yes, some others might compliment her, but... she knew when the person speaking had taste in what they were talking about.
"That would be wonderful," she answered, surrendering the bottle to him. She glanced at the dog and managed not to frown. She was thankful it was contained, as she would not have been pleased if it had jumped on her, if its nails had caught her dress or the like. Still, she managed a smile at the dog, long as she was here, she would get along with it as best she could.
