We wanted to thank each and every one of you who has stuck with us as we head into our final month of the game. In lieu of an activity check for December, we wanted to do a quick check-in to help us keep track of things.

January is the final month of the FRONTLINES story, and we'd like to make sure we end things with a bang. We know the holidays had everyone a bit out of commission, and we're keen to bring everything back on track for the finale.

To that end, we'd like to hear from you if there's anything you need from us to make your characters' arcs end in a satisfying way. We'll be touching base about the end-of-game emails people sent if we haven't already, but we encourage the rest of you to hit us up with anything you might desire.

We have opportunities for character deaths, if that is something that interests you. Please let us know.

To help you plan, here is a general framework for the coming month:

• On New Years Day, Kincaid will inform the atavist community that the MAL are no longer being hunted. MAL members will be able to travel freely after this point, but are encouraged to maintain a low profile. Conversation opens between the Project and the MAL on working together to fight The Way.
• In the first week of January, The Maker will access the network to proclaim 31 Whitehall a sanctuary above baseline law, and defy any further meddling with her stronghold by the government. This message is also released to baseline television.
• In response, the President will officially announce the détente between the Project and the MAL, and inform the public that they have new evidence to now suggest that The Way instigated the Times Square Incident, not the MAL.
• The Way will launch an attack on the Chrysler Building in an attempt to steal The Father. They will be ultimately rebuffed, and The Father will be brought to Governors Island to be stored alongside The Mother for additional security.
• The strange incidents where baselines go berserk and become super-strong will continue to escalate, with more baselines affected each time in very public spaces. By the middle of the month, this will be a major problem in New York City.
• Ultimately, with an army of baseline berserkers, The Way assaults Governors Island to claim the Cosmic Idol. This will be our final battle, at the end of the month.

Other plot will also arise, and we encourage you to come to us with ideas about rogues or other plot elements, but these are the major events we have planned.

We highly encourage you to pick up a member of The Way with your rogue slot. If you have already used your rogue slot, we will grant you a second one if you'd like to play a Way villain for the endgame.

We look forward to drawing this story to a close with you!

Hi everyone! We hope all those who celebrated had a great Thanksgiving. Just a few quick notes:

• We are delighted with the response to our ENDGAME SURVEY, and encourage you to chime in if you haven't already. The December PCal, coming soon, will be highly shaped by this survey, and we will have a post discussing the results coming soon as well.
• Due to the survey and then the holiday in quick succession, we are a bit behind on our inbox. We appreciate your patience!
• The November Activity Check, which closes on Thursday at 11:59pm, will be our final activity check. December will just have a check-in post at the end of the month, and January is our very last month before epilogues!
• As a reminder, holds close permanently on Friday, December 1st. (If you get a hold in before then, you'll have the full time to apply, so don't worry about not having time to finish your application.)
• In the interest of building toward the endgame, we would like to remind you of our Rogues feature, and encourage those who don't have a Rogue already to consider creating an NPC member of The Way whom you can play on the journals. If you already have a Rogue, and you'd like to create a Way NPC as well, drop us an email and we can discuss!
• As has been requested, HERE is a list of dropped PCs who are now background NPCs and may be referenced in-game. This list only includes characters who are members of one of the three factions.

Hi all!

Just a few quick notes as October draws to a close.

Thank you for all your hard work in the transition through the September plot. The face of the game changed a lot before and after, and we know this month has been a bit difficult to navigate!

• Because we know this month was tricky, we're going to offer some amnesty on October's Activity Check -- every character will require one fewer piece of activity than normal. To those of you who have already completed activity for the month: you are rock stars! Thank you for pushing through.

We are currently on schedule to end the game's metaplot February 1st, as planned, with a culminating event on Governors Island. That's only three months away! (The comms will remain open for epilogues in February.)

• We have a lot of stuff lined up for the next three months, but what's most important to us is that you are ultimately satisfied with your individual character arcs. We strongly encourage each and every one of you to email the mod account with any general or specific ideas about how you'd like your character stories to resolve. We will try to facilitate these to the best of our ability and weave them in with the rest of our story.

A November PCal is forthcoming. We still have some surprises in store, but like with the reveal of atavism in September, as we move toward the endgame we also want to be a bit transparent to help you plan ahead. Here are some key plot points to be aware of for the month of November:

• The Maker will soon release a manifesto declaring atavist supremacy and the true mission statement of The Way: to create a kingdom on earth for atavists to rule.
• The MAL must decide what to do about Leo, who grows increasingly erratic.
• The Project and the MAL will each be launching initiatives to bend more towards classic superheroism -- the Project as state-sanctioned heroes, the MAL as vigilantes.
• Toward the end of the month, the atavist registry will be leaked to the public. If you want to do something that requires your character's status as an atavist be a secret, we would advise you to do it soon!

Two announcements about holds!

• We've decided to lift the restriction on neutral characters. We still highly encourage new characters to join a faction, but we also feel that the reveal of atavism offers a number of great plot opportunities for neutral characters. (A critic of atavists who gets atavized? An atavist-hopeful who realizes being atavized is nothing like what they thought it would be?)
• With the game ending Feb 1, we've decided to close holds permanently starting December 1 for the last two months of the game. If you would like to app another character before the end of the game, please be sure to hold before then.

Hi everyone!

First and foremost, we want to thank each and every one of you for helping us pull off the craziest plot weekend any of us can recall in our recent RP memories. This has been a trip, but it's been a pleasure to bring these plots to a head with you.

To give everyone a little more time to breathe and process what's happened, we've decided (after consultation with the players of The Twelve) to extend the 12er comas another 24 hours. They'll wake up Wednesday morning.

We really love the panicked, fantastic RP that's been happening in their absence, and we are excited to see more of it. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!

Hello Frontlines.

[VOLUNTEER 6] brings down the huge stack of electronic billboards, causing massive piles of debris and live wires to come crashing down on the street. KAYA DI MICELLI is struck by some of the debris and pinned, leading to a permanent injury (6).
