[Owl to Jon]

Jon,

I've compiled a list of the most current scholastic articles and published experts on puffskeins, as requested. Unfortunately, it's not a lot. Apparently puffskeins are not a hot zoological topic. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

You don't happen to know if prolonged proximity to thestrals causes nightmares, do you? Are there any other plants or animals you know of which might have that effect? If you have any ideas, I would appreciate it.

- Bill B.

Who: Joe and Patrick
What: Joe arriving at Hogwarts
When: Sunday morning
Where: Outside the main entrance

Excited as Joe was to finally have gotten the position, after nearly a month worth of twice daily owls, the closer he got to the castle, the more nervous he became. Helpful as his dreams are, they don't tend to really deal in specifics and there's always the chance that he's interpreting classroom/England/castle in a way that it isn't meant to be.

He's excited, too, though, as he lands his broom and steps off, starting off across the grounds toward the meandering, imposing castle. As a student, he always liked tutoring his fellow students who needed the help, so the idea of actually being paid to talk to kids about his dreams and teach them how to do what he loves is kind of a trip.

Standing in front of the imposing doors, Joe sweeps a hand across his robes and looks around for anyone, hopefully, send to meet him.

[STAFF NOTICEBOARD]

Seriously? I mean, seriously? That is not a word. I've taken the liberty of removing it from the board for you guys, and I'm going to assume that someone's owl just randomly dropped non-word-forming-letters on the board and no one noticed.

WHO: Adam and Gerard
WHERE: Hogwarts Infirmary &c.
WHAT: Adam totally doesn't have whatever the kids have. Seriously. He's fine, officer, he's never done anything bad in his life!
WHEN: Afternoon, Sunday. (September 27)

[Owl to Gerard Way, shortly after lunch, Sunday]

Gerard,
My suspicions were correct; I am nearly cured by a good night's sleep. Please spring me from the infirmary, ASAP.
- Adam
PS: I have a ritual that I'd like to do to ensure my health and well-being, if you'd like to join me/watch/learn. That sounds dirty. I apologize.

Who: Pete and William (drop-ins welcome)
Where: The Quidditch pitch
When: Mid-afternoon Saturday
What: Watching a practice match and taking tea

There was no one in the staff lounge and too many children in the Great Hall, so William confiscated a bone china teapot, two cups, two saucers, two spoons, and little pots of sugar and creamer from the lounge, packed it all up into a basket (or tried to; the House-elves never let him get away with doing much work before they intervened) and headed out to the pitch, where Pete had been watching children fly at least since the library had opened that morning. William hadn't seen him at breakfast, either, so he may have been out even earlier.

"I have an hour-long lunch break and no desire to be anywhere near students," William informed Pete upon arrival, setting his basket down onto the grass. "Would you care for a cuppa?"
