And not quite. It's a rather long story but the short of it is that your timeline was created as a result of a choice I made. That choice unknowingly led to the release of the virus that infected the world's population. The guardian of the talisman that held the virus pulled me into that possible timeline to show me what would happen should I remove the talisman from its resting place. Once I had learned everything that they intended me to learn I was placed back at the exact moment I was planning on removing it. A choice that I wound up not making so as to avoid the future that I had been shown.

Yes but also no, I'm afraid.

This will be hard to hear. Were we in our reality by not making that choice I essentially prevented the timeline you were born into from ever occurring. Thus you never existed. But since we are not in our reality. And are, in fact, in a reality where it has been proven that there are what appears to be an infinite number of realities that exist for multiple universes. I've come to the conclusion that perhaps the future I was shown was not what could happen but was what did happen in another reality.
