No, I can't say I was expecting it. But I'm definitely grateful. I wasn't close to my dad, so I want to make sure that isn't the case for us.

Well, yes. But it's more or less not having to fight. Not constantly fearing for my life. I still jump when I hear noises that sound to familiar and I still get nightmares. I hate PTSD.
