The last thing Skids remembered, before the bright light, was breaking through her force field and gripping Masque's neck tight in order to free Rusty from the affection Masque placed on him. She had finally managed to turn off her shield, even if just for a moment. The feeling of touching someone, even in anger, was something implausible to the young mutant. Yet, it happened. Now, the short blonde was strolling through the streets in the early hours of the morning without the fear of being stared at for glowing in the dim lights. Skids had always wanted to blend, to be normal, to be able to touch anything; now she could, but without anyone to share that with... what was the point.
Her slender fingers brushed through her platinum locks as Sally walked down the streets of this bizarre new place she had been sent to. After meeting with the talking dog in a room with some stone, a walk was much needed. This place was quite a sight but at the same time it was lonely. It looked like it had just been through something disastrous. It was probably not save to be out but Sally was not scared because her shield would protect her. The people she had trusted back in her world where not here, that she knew of. Skids tucked her hands into her jacket pockets and tilted her head down towards her feet, making sure to avoid eye contact with anyone around her.
As her blue eyes forced on the few steps in front of her feet, with her mind drifting back to Rusty and the others from back home. Then to her mother's face and the horrors that happened the night she received her abilities. They had saved her life but it did not save her mother from her father. As her mind wandered and her feet continued to move forward down the street. Her thoughts snapped back to the present when her balance was thrown off from running into another body. Sally placed a hand on her head and slowly looked up at the person, with slight pain on her face from falling backwards.
