I "went fangy", but considering he was armed like you wouldn't even believe, I thought it wiser to talk first. Turns out he was guarding... whatever that portal is that I came through. Yeah, they do that. It's the reality gem. Magic rock that pulls individuals here from various dimensions. No way back yet. But, the good news is that we've got good company! Kenzi and Lauren are here. A few others from home too.

I can say with absolute certainty that you will learn to love her as much as I do.

It won't be the first or last time I'm in danger. But I know I can always count on you to do everything you can to help protect me.
