I am in pretty much the best mood EVER right now.

After working on Project: Evangelion since the first time I was here, I finally, finally, made some real, concrete progress. By tapping into the unit's DNA and studying it's genetic and skeletal structure, I've figured out a way to both sync the pilot to it without causing them physical duress, and how to prevent the unit's internal 'personality' from being able to take over unless the pilot loses consciousness.

The next step is finding an alternate way to power the unit, to allow it to remain untethered by the umbilical cable. That might be trickier, as the units are technically cybernetic rather than robotic.
