Causing Some Chaos
Who: Darcy and Thor, then later, Sam Wilson
Where: Starting at Thor's Room, then Peter's Apartment!
When: Wednesday Evening
When Darcy got bored, she usually found some sort of trouble to get into. She couldn't help it! She was like the cat: curiosity killed it. Except that she was alive and just attracted trouble like a black cat! Thankfully, she hadn't gotten intro trouble yet, but she was off looking for Thor, so maybe they would find trouble together. Thor was at least fun to get drunk with. Knocking on his door, she rocked back on her heels. "Thor! You in there! I'm not interrupting any sort of private time, am I?"
"Of course not, Lady Darcy!" Thor boomed from the other side of the door. He was quick to open said door, dressed in tan pants and a green tee, with his long blond hair tied (mostly) away from his face and a bottle of ale in one hand. He probably partook more than he would've back home, but with things being quiet for the time being and few friends or activities to keep him busy he figured 'why not?' "This is a welcome surprise!"
"Whoa dude! Looks a little like someone's been getting the party started without me!" she teased, reaching up and giving him a quick hug. "What's been going on, buddy? Just figured you'd pop open the bottle of ale tonight?"
He wrapped his free hand around Darcy and lifted her up off of the ground, giving her an (almost) crushing hug in his enthusiasm (he knew his strength, thanks a bunch). "Well, I though that with things being quiet for the time being..." He replied with a bashful smile. "You're welcome to join me. I'm sure that I have more... friendly beverages for you to partake in!"
"Quiet is definitely worth celebrating, I agree," Darcy said, giggling as he lifted her off the ground. "Considering what could be unleashed on us at any given time." If only they knew what was coming! "I'll happily join you, though! But let's go friendlier beverages for human ol' me for sure." Asgardian ale gave a wicked hangover, she found out!
Thor smiled warmly and ushered Darcy inside. He found it oddly soothing to have his own living space, away from his family and friends. Certainly, it took some time to adjust, but he had. "Alex gave me a few different beverages to make up for her thievery, so if you see something you like, say it and it's yours," he proclaimed.
"Remind me to send Alex a fruit basket for her thievery then," Darcy joked as she made her way inside. She liked having her own room as well, but she also really enjoyed getting to see everyone else's. She was a bit nosy like that. When she looked through what Alex had given him, she picked out what was actually a choice vodka and opened it up, giving it a sniff before taking a small sip of it. "So, what's been going on lately, big guy?"
He nodded approvingly at her choice. "Sadly not much," he admitted. "I'm at a loss for what to do with my time." Mostly he was waiting to be sent back home, but that seemed less and less likely the longer he stayed. "And what about you? I hope that you haven't caused too much trouble here," he teased.
"When the world isn't melting down around us, it is kind of hard to fill the time sometimes, isn't it?" she asked, actually completely serious about that. It seemed like things were either insane or nothing around here sometimes. "And nah, not too much trouble. Keeping it on the down low right now," she said playfully.
"On the down low," he repeated, smiling down at her. When he understood what she was saying he found her to be quite precious. "Then perhaps we should take a leaf from my brother Loki's book and cause a little mischief," he said, his tone serious but his expression impish.
Normal everyday humans who spoke English sometimes had trouble understanding what Darcy said. One of her teachers once complained that she didn't so much speak the language as chew it up and spit it out, but he was an asshole, anyway. "Ooh, I'm scandalized," Darcy said in mock shock before giggling. "Just what sort of mischief were you thinking of causing?"
Thor hmm'd and tapped his index finger to his lips. "Would it be too outlandish if I said that we get up to the mischief that Peter and Wade usually get up to?" He asked, levelling his gaze on Darcy. Back in his own universe he was very 'by the book', but he'd learned to be more outlandish being here. More daring.
"I think that's something that we can handle easily," Darcy said with a grin. She knew that he was supposed to be something of a straight laced guy, but this was going to be fun! Besides, they needed to liven up this place a little bit!
"Good!" Thor replied, hooking an arm around Darcy's shoulders and giving her a (what amounted to him) gentle squeeze. "I'd suggest stealing that man's car again, but he might be liable to kill someone." Well, at least he was being practical? "Who would you like to play with?"
"I don't want to be staked out for the sun, so we should probably pass on that idea," Darcy said with a laugh. "We could always give Peter and Wade a taste of their own medicine, though."
And they wouldn't expect it from them, either. The perfect crime. "So, what are we thinking? Shaving cream? Locked doors? Missing outfits?" Oh dear. Being onboard Knowhere, Thor had become something of a deviant!
Darcy grinned. "I think missing outfits would be a good start, actually," she told him. Stealing Spiderman's outfit alone sounded utterly hilarious. "Then we have to put them on and take pictures!"
Thor laughed and flexed his arms. "Something tells me that they wouldn't fit," he pointed out. He didn't say it, but Peter was stick-thin and Darcy... had some assets there! "The masks, however... Let's see if Peter is being otherwise occupied and create some fun!"
"Well, they are supposed to be super stretchy, so maybe you can squeeze them over your huge muscles," Darcy said with a laugh. Watching that would be hilarious. "Masks will definitely do. Let's go!"
"Bring the alcohol!" Thor decided. He grabbed a fresh bottle of Asgardian ale while he was at it and gave Darcy enough time to situate herself before grasping her hand and leading her out of the apartment. He had an idea where Peter's room was and now that he had his mind set on something he was damn well going to do it. Was Darcy a bad influence, or was this just a long time coming? No matter. He wanted to cause some mischief!
Darcy had just enough time to grab her alcohol before Thor was pulling her away to Peter's room, which she personally had no idea where it was but Thor seemed to know, which worked for her. And Darcy was definitely a bad influence! Girl was naturally full of mischief.
"Bwahaha!" Thor said, which was just... random for him. He personally would have run down all those flights of stairs to Peter's room, but he had Darcy to think of, so they went as far as the elevator and he pushed the call button to get it up to them. "He has webbing too, doesn't he?" Oh, the things they could do!
Darcy was definitely glad that she didn't have to try and run to keep up with Thor. She'd never make it. Honestly, unless the world was somehow ending around her, she didn't do very good with running. "He does! I wonder if he keeps any extra around!" They'd destroy EVERYTHING with it!
"We'll find out soon enough," Thor replied, smiling. He liked spending time with Darcy. She was a little piece of home. That, and she was just fun to be around. Once the elevator came, Thor stepped into it and pushed the button for Peter's floor. One of the plus's of living in this building was that there was a list of where people lived and with who on the network, so he had no trouble finding out which room Peter boarded in. "Let me do the talking," he decided. If Peter was home he'd make something up, he was sure. Stepping out of the elevator, he made his way over to Peter's door and knocked. Best way to find out if someone was home!
When the door opened, Sam Wilson stood there, dressed casually in dark blue sweatpants and a white tee, and just gave a look to Thor, then to Darcy, then back to Thor, his expression barely changing. "Thor. Sup, brother?" From the look on his face, he could tell SOMETHING was amiss. Thor wasnt the type to just randomly visit anyone, even teammates. And Darcy, well... the little he knew of her? She was mischievous as hell.
Darcy gave Thor a quick nod before Sam opened up the door. And oh my YES Darcy was mischievous as hell, but this had BARELY been her idea. Thor definitely had a wicked side to him most people would NOT guess. She just gave Sam a quick wave and waited for Thor to speak.
"Hello Sam," Thor said in that booming way of his. Like when he spoke he had to fill a cathedral rather than a small room. He hadn't met Sam in his universe (he'd arrived at Freedomtown a little too early, unfortunately), but he liked the Sam here at any rate. "I'm not going to do you the dishonor of lying to you," he started with. "We've decided that we'd like to" mess with, "play with Peter's things. It seems only fitting after he and Wade have caused such mischief that the shoe be on the other foot."
Should Sam have been a good roomie and said no? Maybe called Peter and let him know what was going on? Probably. But honestly? Sam was so over this shit by now... "You know what.... have at it, man. Have a blast. Hell, mess with his breakfast cereal too. He'll never expect that one."
As soon as Thor just blurted out what they were going to do, Darcy couldn't help it: she burst out laughing. "Thor, we're gonna have to work on your poker face," she said, still glad that Sam was going to let them get away with this. "Still, we're also putting a plastic bug in his cereal. Not a spider, though. He'd totally expect that." Or a plastic rat.
"What's wrong with my face?" Only Thor... "You should join us, Sam!" He said, clapping the man on the shoulder with his free hand (the other was still holding his beverage!). "I'm sure that you'd look rather fetching in that Spider-suit of his!"
Sam just blinked at them, looking from one to the other in slow succession. "I feel like I should be trying to stop you." He said, dryly, before shaking his head. "....just get his buddy Wade just as good. That's all I ask." HAH!
Darcy just laughed. "Your face is great, Thor. I mean we gotta teach you to lie better," she explained. "Especially if we're playing tricks on people." She then looked at Sam and grinned. "And that's the plan!"
"Well, fortunately I did not have to lie this time, lady Darcy," Thor replied, giving Darcy an affectionate side-hug. He then asked Sam which room was Peter's and made his way over to it. "We should get Alex to help as well, or that child of his." He was certainly on a roll tonight, wasn't he? One had to wonder what had brought on his mischievousness. He opened up Peter's cupboard and sure enough, there was his Spidey-suit. He pulled it out of the closet and pressed it up to his chest with one hand (the other was still holding that ale!). "He's a small man, isn't he?"
"Not this time, because Sam is a cool dude and knows that Peter needs some lessons in how to not be a butt, but we won't always be that lucky." Was she planning on doing this again? Oh hell yeah! Thor was fun to cause mischief with, which, as fun as he was, she hadn't expected THAT! She grinned as Thor held up the suit to chest. "Well, I think it stretches, although I don't think we're getting that over any of those muscles."
Thor stretched out an arm against the suit and pressed it up against his bicep. "Not even close," he agreed, tossing the body-suit over to the bed before grabbing the mask. "This, however," he set his bottle aside and pulled the mask over his head, "...I don't even know how he sees out of this!"
"Spider senses," Darcy said with a shrug, grabbing the suit that he tossed on the bed. Thor would likely rip it to pieces trying to put it on, but she was pretty sure she could wear it, at least for a few incriminating photos.
Thor pulled the mask up and over his head, shaking out his long blond hair and curling it behind his ears. When he saw what Darcy intended, he collected his drink and turned his back to her so she could change without him ogling her! "I'm taking photos when you're done." Oh good lord.
She just laughed, taking the opportunity to switch her outfit to the spider one. Not that she would have totally hated being oggled or anything. Thor was hot! Still, he HAD been dating Jane, who could totally show up at any time. "Alright, done big guy," she told him, grinning.
Thor turned around and, admittedly, gaped at Darcy for a good few seconds there. She filled out the suit nicely, okay? "It suits you. Although you never needed an outfit to be a superhero, Lady Darcy." He smiled warmly at her, then leaned over to pick up her discarded phone from the bed. "Now, how does this work?"
"Of course, I'm awesome that way," she said with a smirk, catching Thor gaping at her. What? When someone that gorgeous looked you over, it was a boost to the ego, OK! Give her a break. She leaned over and pulled up her camera app. "Just lightly tap on the screen to get it to focus and then press the little picture of the camera to take the shot," she explained.
He fiddled with the phone for a good few seconds. Sometimes he'd get frustrated with technology, but this seemed fairly straight forward. "Isn't technology amazing?" He raised the camera and did as she instructed, tapping it to get it to focus on her. Nice!
"It definitely can be," she agreed, striking a pose for him when he seemed to figure the camera out. She knew this stuff was kind of awkward for him. He hadn't grown up around all of this stuff like she had. She was sure that, if she went to Asgard, there would be stuff that would equally befuddle her.
He'd have to take her to visit Asgard someday, if they should ever go home! He took a few photos of her and gave her one of those big beaming smiles of his. "A vision, as always, lady Darcy."
Darcy would freaking LOVE that, if she ever got to do it. "Aren't you sweet," she said with a grin. "Here, let me get a few pictures of you with the mask now." This was going to be HILARIOUS.
He handed her the phone, then pulled the mask over his head. He couldn't see very well out of it but at least he wasn't planning on running around with it on, so it should be fine. Hilariously, he flexed his muscles like a wrestler might, first with his arms over his head, then curled in front of his chest. He was practically popping out of his shirt. One had to wonder if there was more than alcohol in his drink, or if being in Darcy's company just naturally brought out this goofy side to him. Being in her company certainly made him happy, at any rate. "We should do things like this more often," he decided.
She started giggling when he started doing poses. "You look SO like a luchador," she remarked, snapping photos away. "Which, now that I think about it, I need to show you wrestling, both regular and Lucha libre. I think you'd love it." She'd have to explain that most of it was acting, but she thought he might enjoy people fighting for sport. "And yes, we should! We still have Wade to go after next, at least."
"Lucha libre," Thor repeated, nodding as if he understood what that was. If it went hand-in-hand with wrestling then it sounded interesting, at least! "Yes!" He agreed in his big, booming voice when she mentioned going to Wade's next. He pulled the mask up so it rested against his forehead and turned back to the wardrobe, pulling out a few small devices. He tapped one with his index finger and a thin stream of webbing shot out, hitting the wall. "We should take these with us!"
Darcy's eyes went wide when she realized that Thor had Peter's web shooters. "Oh my god yes! We are so taking those and holding them for ransom." Not that she actually wanted anything from Peter, other than maybe make him do something extra silly.
"A fine idea!" Thor agreed. God only knew what further mischief they'd get upto with those, but for now it remained their little secret... at least until the morning when people woke up to discover the chaos that they'd caused.
