Sickeningly Sweet
Who: Alex and Gwen (featuring Bea)
Where: Alex's Apartment
When: Backdated to Tuesday, June 14th
What: Alex asking Gwen to move in
Rating: Low?
"Alex?" Gwen called from outside Alex's apartment, knocking lightly. "Are you decent? Kinda hoping NOT..." She teased, looking sharp in white short-shorts and a matching suitjacket and heels. "I swear, if Wade sent her on a last-minute run or something..." The blonde grumbled to herself, even as she heard a loud wolf whistle from a little down the hall.
She looked over, to see Bea Wilson sticking her head out from the apartment SHE lived in, grinning evilly. "Jesus CHRIST, woman... lookit those legs! I swear I'd pay just to WATCH you and Vause go at it..."
A few seconds later Alex opened her apartment door, dressed in leather pants and a white full-sleeved dress shirt, open at the cleavage. She grinned broadly. "Jesus. No wonder you're getting catcalls from the hallway. Better get your ass in here before Bea molests you."
"I'LL MOLEST YOU BOTH, VAUSE! HOLLA!" Bea called out as Gwen quickly slipped into the apartment and shut the door. "God, someone needs to turn the hose on that girl..." The blonde muttered as she glomped onto the older woman for a big hug. "Missed you, baby."
"Or put her in a straight jacket," Alex agreed. She wrapped her arms around Gwen and let herself enjoy the hug for a moment. She was a sucker for displays of affection. "You know, there's a solution to the whole missing me thing, right?"
"A lobotomy?" Gwen asked, the cheeky little thing. She gave Alex a snarky little grin and took her hands. "Seriously though... what's your solution, sweetie?" She asked, loving how (for the most part) Alex had seemed to come out of her shell since they'd gotten together, and started to let herself trust and enjoy life again.
"No. Wise ass." Alex smirked. She swung their hands between them and decided to blurt out what she was thinking before she lost her nerve. "You should move in. Here. With me. Duh."
"Wow... live on The Wilson Floor?" Gwen asked with a sweetly impressed grin. "I'd have to be a fool to pass up that kind of entertainment..." Gwen's face said it all though: she was BEYOND flattered that Alex had made this offer, and was clearly not taking it lightly. "I'd be happy to, honey. MORE than happy."
"Good." Alex grinned broadly and lightly pecked Gwen on the lips before tugging her over towards the sofa. "We'll pack up your stuff and move it over in the morning." She had no intention of dragging it out.
"I'll try... I mean... all the stuff I have here? Might take me at LEAST 10 to 15 minutes to pack." Gwen said with a dry, teasing tone. "Thank you, Alex. This is... this is the best thing that's happened to me since I got pulled into this place."
"Well, as the best thing that's happened to you since you got here: you're welcome," Alex joked. She sat down on the sofa and tugged Gwen down to sit beside her. She sighed heavily, having caught herself falling back on her sense of humor instead of discussing things like an adult. "You're kind of the best thing that's happened to me ever, okay?"
"Well, you must be a pretty big deal... I mean, before you? I was CURIOUS about girls, but... I was allll about the boys. Now? I can't think of anyone BUT you. Regardless of gender. You're all I see, Alex. I love you." Well? She did. And she was hoping that wasn't too much to hear for the other woman.
Alex almost joked that she'd turned straight girls before, but after Gwen's declaration, she snapped her mouth closed. She really did need to work on her communication skills. She tugged Gwen over into her lap and smiled up at her. "I love you too, Gwen. I know that I've been a buttmunch about us and for that I'm sorry, but I really do love you."
"I'd hope so... I mean, where else are you gonna find a bod like this, right?" Gwen joked, kissing her lightly. "I won't lie... for a while there, I thought I was losing you. You seemed so... withdrawn and unhappy... and I've been there before. I thought it was because of me."
Alex looked away. It wasn't something that she was proud of and in retrospect, she felt very foolish. She danced her fingertips along Gwen's bare thighs and shook her head. "It wasn't you or anything that you did."
"I believe you." Gwen told her in a soothing, caring tone. She stroked that long black hair softly, and smiled at her. "Let's just focus on making each other happy now. And always coming to each other when the other is feeling down."
"Promise," Alex agreed. All of this touching was getting distracting, but somehow Alex soldiered on with the conversation. "I'll make more of an effort to let you know what's going on up here," she pointed a finger to her temple, "if you do the same."
"Always." Gwen told her, leaning in to teasingly nip at the older woman's bottom lip, just elated to be in Alex's presence. "I just hope you aren't needed for work anytime soon. Because with me living here I can't see either of us even putting clothes on for at least a week."
Alex chuckled huskily. "Well, we'd better stock up on food then to keep our energy up." Like Wade would mind all too much anyway. He'd probably be thrilled that Alex was out of her funk, to be honest. Alex started unbuttoning Gwen's suitjacket and gave her a cheeky little grin.
"Just lock the door. Several times over. I don't want his pervy alt!daughter trying to spy on us." Gwen snorted with a laugh, just taking a few moments to gaze at the older woman. There was just something about her... somehow she managed to be attractive to Gwen in every possible way, from physically to mentally to emotionally... hell, all the way down to the way she talked. "Wow. I... really, REALLY am in love with you, Alex."
"Well, I should hope so. Otherwise the whole you moving in thing would be awkward," Alex said with a chuckle.
