"Guess you'll just have to discover them soon," he teased about hidden talents. "And that's true. You do have a very talented tongue." He wondered where she would have learned the cherry stem trick, but it was more just out of general curiosity than anything.
He thought that it was cute when she blushed about certain things. She looked gorgeous with a little extra color to her cheeks.
Matthew could easily say that he'd never felt anything close to what he felt about Sookie. He'd more played around than even tried for so long and then, when he got older and started to think about settling down, he more dismissed it than anything. Ending up on another world and finding Sookie was a blessing to him.
He scooted back from the table to let her sit on his lap, sliding his arms around her waist and kissing her back. "I think you're the one taking my breath away right now," he said softly to her, smiling up at her.
"Trust me, I'm the lucky one here," he told her. Suddenly deciding that now was the right moment, he quickly fished into his pocket for something. "So, this might seem fast, but getting brought here and finding you turned my world upside down in the best way, and I know my mind's not going to change in another six months or a year from now. I love you and this just feels right."
He pulled a little box out of his pocket, opening it up and showing the ring. His heart was pounding in his ears, praying that she'd say yes. "Sookie Stackhouse, will you marry me?"
