Brushing back the tear that crept out when he spoke of Gran. She was just so frustrated that they never could meet. Down deep inside, she knew Gran watched her and knew about Matt.
"Well I don't know what kind of hidden talents you might have. I can take a cherry stem in my mouth and turn it into a circle. Well you get what I mean." Zoning in on his eyes she teased him. "I have a very talented tongue. But I think you know that already." She couldn't help but giggle and blush even suggesting something intimate.
She found it funny that they could be as intimate as two people could be and yet at times talking about it embarrassed her.
She'd loved Bill, it was a first love and it hurt when she learned of his betrayal. But then Godric had been right, Bill deep down inside was a good man. He'd killed her Uncle Bartlett for what he'd done to her. Sookie had to tell Matthew about Uncle Bartlett's abuse. There just didn't seem to be the right time.
She'd loved Eric in a way, but he changed.
But Matthew, she loved him so much more than she did either Bill or Eric. She felt safe with him. Completely safe. She never doubted Matthew, or felt he was after something. He was her soulmate. She hadn't believed in them before Matthew.
"You take my breath away," she admitted as she stood up demanding her way into his lap. Once there she made herself quite comfortable, letting her left hand snake up his chest and around his neck. Leaning in she kissed him softly.
Her fingers spread through his. She leaned her head on his chest so she could hear his heartbeat. It made her smile.
"You smell great she said. "How did I get so lucky?"
