"Water it is. Have you not had anyone cook for you before?" he teased, getting a pitcher of water from the fridge and pouring her a glass, setting it in front of her before pouring himself one, too.
"You were just your amazing self, Sookie. That's all you ever have to be." He moved to make himself a plate of food as well, sitting down across from her once he was done.
He laughed, blushing just a tad when she complimented his cooking. "Been a bachelor for years, Sook. Had to learn to fend for myself or I'd weigh three hundred pounds after eating nothing but take away." He took a sip of water before continuing. "I used to cook for the Slayers at home a time or two. The headquarters was a refurbished hotel that I lived at, and some of the girls stayed there, too. Had to have something halfway healthy now and then." Their metabolisms could handle anything, but he was just human, so he needed real food now and then.
