Rupert Giles ([info]watcherdiaries) wrote in [info]freedomtownic,
PERFORMANCE - BRIAN PRITCHARD
Giles was quiet and unreadable throughout the performance. It was clear he was thinking hard about it, but his expression gave nothing away. After the song had ended, he paused, then gave a small sigh. "I imagine that look on your face at the end there was due to a dissatisfaction with your own performance?" Giles gave Brian an empathetic look. He knew how it felt to know you could have done better. "I'm rather in the same boat, I'm afraid. You have this deep well of emotion, and I can tell you're trying to share that with the audience. However, I believe you may have been overthinking things this week. You did clearly keep our notes from last week in mind, which is wonderful. However, you were thinking so hard about making sure to include them, that I think it undercut the emotion of this performance, so things were lost in translation.

"Now, the positive news here, is that I think you have an enormous potential to grow and become a very memorable performer. My biggest suggestion to you this week is practice. Practice practice practice until you can find that balance so get out of your own head a bit during the next performance."
