There's something I've been thinking about for a while.

Purpose. With no apocalypse to stop and my daughter not really needing me because she's an adult, I don't feel like I have a purpose here. I have a job taking care of animals but that's not enough. I need to do more.

Does anyone know who I contact about becoming a foster mother?

Just told the welcome center I was taking in one of the minors that showed up.

There's no other process for it? No papers to fill out to make sure I'm qualified? No background check? That doesn't seem safe.

My father was adopted. I can guarantee he and my Grandmother would be the first ones to set me straight if we weren't making the children's safety a top priority.
