Two reasons.

1. It's a hell of a lot easier to take than having them say she's pregnant.

2. They've already been through more shit at 16 and 17 than most people go through before they're 30. They deserve this. You really going to tell me they're old enough to fight in battles but not old enough to get married?

Think about it this way. Seriously.

They're in love. They both want this. And on this world, it IS legal.

Which means they're going to do it whether we approve or not. Do you want to risk losing your daughter over this? Because I don't want to risk losing my son.
