I wouldn't really call it avoidance, Nance. I've got a lot of stuff going on too, you know? I'm trying to figure out where I fit in this place just as much as you are. I do appreciate that you went out of your way to tell me what you've been going through, though. I feel like that's what friends do. They lean on each other, talk through their shit.
I don't mean to diminish what you're feeling. If anything, I think that it's perfectly OK for you to feel directionless and dissatisfied. It just means that you're not where you're meant to be yet. I'd be more worried if you acted like everything was perfectly fine. I have every confidence that you'll find your feet. There's no time limit on learning to be an adult. At least I don't think so.
Just... know that you're not alone. If you can't talk to me, then at least talk to someone, because trust me, there are whole towns of lost people out there. It's not like you have to go far to find someone to understand what you're going through.
