RP: Pansy and Charles Avery
Who: Pansy and Charles Avery
What: Pansy plays her own brand of chess
Where: Avery manor
When: 31st of July, 2000
Pansy had learned the news from Ron, and she felt sorry, she did, but it wasn't like they didn't already know and Pansy didn't like to dwell on things she couldn't change. Crying and being sad didn't help. None of that would bring them back to life. What she could do was stay alive, and she planned on doing that.
She put a nice robe and then headed for the Avery manor. From what her father had said, she was fairly certain that Charles was the one in charge. It made sense that he only acted when Lucius was in a position to destroy him (and they all knew that Lucius would). It also made sense that he'd given his blessing for the wedding. His own safety was more important than Danielle's future. Besides, he'd see this as a win/win situation. If Lucius survived and they took over, Danielle would be perfectly placed and if Lucius died, Danielle would find herself with the Malfoy fortune. It really was a perfect move. Her Slytherin side could appreciate it while feeling bad for her cousin.
When the house elf brought her to his studio, she walked in with the perfect smile. "Thank you for inviting me to your home. It was very kind." Of course, he hadn't exactly invited her. She had sent an owl requesting a meeting and stating that it was rather urgent. Her wording had left no doubt that it wasn't a mere request and she would speak with him regardless. "I won't take a lot of your time. As you know, my in-laws were just found in Diagon Alley. Horrible thing to happen, I'm sure you agree. You don't mind if I sit," she said, taking a seat in one of the chairs at his desk. She'll let him keep the big chair on the other side. Men always feel better when they felt they were in control.
