Precisely the sort of thing Victoria's diplomatic self strived to avoid. She wanted to be all-inclusive. Wanted to try and make this a real family affair and not have her own progeny feel left out of anything. As seen upon Fang Noir's opening night and her attempted to form a truce between Rhiannon and Deanna, though, some tactics just refused to work.
Still, none of that did anything to lessen the surprise at seeing Deanna actually acting humble. Much like seeing a UFO or lake monster, it was a once-in-an-unlifetime experience. Even if such examples had seemingly got a lot more frequent, in recent times.
"My forgiveness isn't something you need to ask for," she fondly smiled, seriously quite touched. "And if you did? Well, that just wouldn't be 'you', would it? Really, though, that means something... I appreciate it. Just glad it's in the past now, that's all. And I do wish I hadn't done it."
Glancing over to her blonde, Victoria mused aloud the one thing she was sure could not only bond all three of them, but cause Deanna to take an instant shine to the girl, like nothing else could.
"Y'know, Star's got an excellent taste in shoes..."
